The Indian Pacific railway service connects Perth with Sydney via Kalgoorlie, Adelaide and Broken Hill. The train carries automobiles as well, so you can bring your car with you.
Moving around Western Australia
Driving will be the most practical option if you intend to explore Western Australia extensively. If you are planning to go to remote places, consider driving / renting a 4WD. You are not allowed to drive a conventional non-4WD vehicle on unsealed track; doing this will breach your rental contract and void your insurance.
